What is 3D Laser Scanning?
3D Scanners use laser technology to record millions of data points in X, Y, Z coordinates to be later registered with computer software to create a dimensional Point Cloud. Point clouds can be used with a wide range of drafting software tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Sketchup and many more. Colorized scans and 360 Degree photos serve as a real-world reference (Think Google Earth for inside and outside of an existing building)
Additional deliverables, such as 2D drawings, 3D models and renderings can all be created with the assistance of a point cloud.
